I am so excited to share with you the handmade items I create in my free time as a mom of four.  I first started creating canvases with quotes that spoke to my heart when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). Then my two boys were also diagnosed and received bone marrow transplants making three of my four children affected with this terrible disease.

These quotes and creating my own works of art have helped me through some of the toughest of days when I need a reminder that I am strong enough to handle the life God has given me.

The Ladybug has always been representative of my daughter Kay. Ladybugs are believed to be lucky, reminding you to count your blessings and show your gratitude with grace. The red shield and big black dots that cover a ladybug announce to the world that she has a unique and playful spirit. This was certainly Kay's spirit animal.

I opened this shop for Kay who’s life was taken at age 7 by MLD. This is my way of adding a little more positivity to the world and bring awareness to MLD and those who suffer with this terrible disease. 10% of every purchase made will go to starting the Smile Like Kay Foundation to help bring smiles of joy to families such as ours during the difficult journeys they face.
